The room was empty, all the other travelers had left for where ever they were going in the world. An hour or so later the door opened to 4 Brazilian girls and a guy. They were very friendly, probably the most friendly guests I’d had the pleasure of staying with. One girl caught my eye. She was tanned, thin, with black hair and a beautiful face. I wanted her.

One Month In – Life Style Update
So I’ve been here in Surfer’s Paradise for a month now. The novelty has somewhat worn off or at least either become normal to be here or just the current lack of full time job and dwindling savings has put a slight strain on me. Though there are many things I have improved since being here.
Second Ausi Tinder Date (K-Close)
My Australian experience with Tinder so far is that there is a wealth of beautiful girls on there, though the conversations are thin once we match. Despite the lack of good leads on there I have been talking to this one girl named Ellie. She had brown hair with light freckles and a very cute face. After a week or so of talking I asked her on a date and after some clashing of schedules we set on a time.
Another Short Street Set (12/100)
I got on the bus outside the hostel. As I walked up to the end of the bus I saw a younger girl looking at me. I feel it would be a bit cocky to assume she was checking me out but she did hold her gaze for a few moments. I sat down behind her and didn’t think much of it. Her hair was a dark brown and her skin very tanned. I guessed she was around 18-20 years old.
The bus got into Surfer’s Paradise and we both got off at the same stop. I considered opening her straight as we got off the bus but she walked up some steps and on the footpath beside the building while I walked on the footpath beside the road. I knew we’d meet together when our paths crossed at the corner of the shops that we were both walking towards. I quickly thought of something to say. “Are you following me?” I jokingly said to her. I was hoping this set would be a good warm up to my date in an hour or so.
Confident Set with Another German Girl (11/100)
Our eyes had caught the night before. She was watching a movie with a few others in the lounge of the hostel. She was slightly curvy with tanned skin and blond/brown hair. She held her gaze as a walked passed and returned the smile I gave. I brushed it off though. I wanted to open her but I wanted to apply for jobs that night so decided that if I saw her in the morning I’d open her.
The French Girl (10/100)
The hostel shuttle was almost full. There was a space beside me and one up the front. A guy and a girl were left so the guy got in the front and the girl in the back beside me.
She was lightly tanned with straight blond hair down to her shoulders. She was thin and probably a bit shorter than I was. Do I say hi? I thought to myself. Before I hesitated I said “hey how’s it going?”.
Valuable Perspective from Two Naturals
None of my close friends are into this kind of self-improvement so having a mentor/coach or simply someone to push me is hard to find. In the last week though I’ve had the chance to hang with two guys that seemed so natural with girls that it made most of my sets look very timid and weak.
A Short Set at Subway (9/100)
I over heard two girls talking behind me while waiting in line at subway. I was getting a late lunch/early dinner.
One girl with jet black hair, dark eye-liner and quite a bit of make-up on. I loved her style. The other was average looking with freckles, and wavy brown hair. Both were shorter than me and thin.
A Random Number Close (8/100)
I’d been talking to people all day at work. I was quite tired but in such a loose sociable mood that when my eyes met with a girl standing at the lights waiting to cross the road I just opened her.
What’s With All The German Girls?! (6&7/100)
I was in Melbas again, a slightly curvy blond girl approached me from the side of the dance floor. She stumbled over in a drunk’n state. She was quite attractive and the conversation started off well. We were both backpacking alone. Her accent was thick. I asked where she was from. “Finland”, she replied.
